The Local Philanthropic Fund is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charity that operates a nationally-registered donor advised fund. Our Tax ID number is: 81-5130625. Donations to the donor-advised fund qualify as a charitable contribution and are eligible for a federal income tax deduction.
Local Philanthropic was founded by Bluefin Investment Management, LLC (Bluefin Investments), a Florida-based investment company founded in 2009 that manages investment portfolios for its clients. It is an entirely independent investment company, not backed by a bank or outside owner that would create a conflict of interest. Bluefin Investments is a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), which requires a higher fiduciary standard than a bank or brokerage is held to.
DIRECTOR AND PRESIDENT
Brian Ketterer Russell began his investment career at PaineWebber
(now UBS) at the age of 20 and worked at various firms over the next
decade, including Merrill Lynch, Cassedy Financial Group, and Aon
Investment Consulting. He founded Bluefin Investments in 2009.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Belmont Abbey College in Charlotte, NC and an MBA with an advanced concentration in finance from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL.

Thomas Ketterer is a former Officer in the U.S. Army, serving multiple tours overseas. Mr. Ketterer graduated from Jacksonville University with a degree in History and participated in their athletics program.
Margaret Ketterer is an active volunteer in her community, once earning the “Volunteer of the Year” award for service. Ms. Ketterer graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Education.
