The Local Philanthropic Fund is a donor advised fund that makes charitable giving easy.
Donor advised funds are an increasingly popular way to give to charity and create a legacy. Think of it like a charitable savings account – you make a contribution to your own customized fund and receive an immediate tax deduction, the funds are invested and grow tax-free over time, and you can recommend grants from the account to your favorite charities at any time.
Local Philanthropic is especially unique in two ways.
One, we emphasize LOCAL giving. Local Philanthropic Fund holders are able to donate to any registered charity – large or small. However, we’ve found that charities at the local level are often overlooked even though they can be more effective and efficient than larger ones. We provide REVIEWS on local nonprofits to bring awareness to their mission.
Two, we charge a smaller fee if your account value is lower on the month. Your goal is to give more to charity and fees cut into that. We’re here to help. More information can be found in the COSTS section.
