About
Dignity U Wear provided free new clothing to those in need. Since its founding in 2000, they provided about $160 million in clothing to over 1 million people. As of July 2017, however, Dignity U Wear was acquired by Soles4Souls, a non-profit aimed at creating sustainable jobs and providing relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world.
The acquisition came as Dignity U Wear outgrew its resources as a small nonprofit. Soles4Souls is expected to expand the capabilities of Dignity U Wear to make them a better nonprofit and have more impact on the community.

Jacksonville-based Dignity U Wear, which has collected new clothing and distributed it to the needy through a nationwide network of social services agencies for 17 years, has been acquired by Soles4Souls, a Nashville-area nonprofit with a similar mission.
The move, which was announced Thursday, was the latest in a series of local nonprofit closures and mergers stemming from the financial struggles faced by many charities.
