POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE OF JACKSONVILLE
Using data as of: June 2016

Rating: RECOMMEND

About
The Police Athletic League aims to create positive relationships between law enforcement officers and children through educational and athletic programs. Volunteer officers coach children in sports, help with homework and other school-related activities, and also offer a summer camp. The bond this creates makes children less likely to commit crimes and increase their support of the police.

PAL of Jacksonville has six different locations and serves over 2,600 kids and their families every year.

The PAL spends just over 80% on their mission and nearly half goes to salaries. We like to see a charity spend at least 75% on their mission, so 80% is decent. They also have modest fundraising expenses.
