Expenses and Philanthropic Spending

Monique Burr Foundation appears to spend their money well, with over 85% of their spending going directly to their mission. We like to see a nonprofit spends at least 75% on their mission, so 85% is decent. They do have high fundraising costs which may not be justified by the amount it brings in (fundraising cost $305,446 and the events brought in $210,096).

Total expenses 2,642,367 2,244,661 92,260 305,446

Our Conclusion
The Monique Burr Foundation provides a service that is certainly needed. However, large deficits and high fundraising expenses earns them CAUTIOUSLY RECOMMEND rating.
