About
K9’s For Warriors provides and trains service dogs to military veterans who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other traumas. This program trains rescue dogs for service animal work, then veterans from around the country are brought to their facility for a three-week training program where they learn to work with their new dog.
Since its formation in 2011, K9’s For Warriors has paired over 300 dogs with veterans. Additionally, at least 95% of the service dogs come from rescue shelters.
K9’s for Warriors has experienced massive growth and has turned into an incredibly successful nonprofit. Their first year in operation brought in under $700,000 in contributions while the most recent year had more than $11 million in contributions.

Expenses and Philanthropic Spending
About 81% of their spending went to their mission. We like to see a charity spend at least 75% on their mission, so 81% is reasonable. They have higher fundraising expenses, but they are justified by the amount of revenue it brings in.EXPENSES
