About
The Jacksonville Humane Society is a no-kill animal shelter that has served the area since 1885. In the past year, they found homes for over 5,500 dogs and cats and provided medical care for over 5,000 animals.
In November of 2017, the Humane Society will complete its move into a new 40,000 square foot facility. It was built at the same location as their current facility, which will be torn down once the new facility is complete. It will not house many more animals than before, but will provide healthier living conditions for the animals located there.
