About
Habitat for Humanity – Jacksonville (or HabiJax) is the Jacksonville affiliate of the Habitat for Humanity organization and has provided homeownership opportunities to over 2,000 families. They work with needy families to provide affordable homes, built using volunteer labor. Habitat provides the homeowners a no- or low-interest mortgage, plus offers college scholarships and tutoring in an effort to break the cycle of poverty.
HabiJax also operates two home improvement outlets, where they sell new and slightly-used home materials to raise revenue for the organization.
